Who is responsible
NestingBee Learning is the data controller for parent accounts and for learner records created inside a family account. Contact us at support@nestingbee.example.
What we collect
- Parent account: name, email address, country, timezone, language and communication preferences.
- Child profile: display name or nickname, optional birth month and year, curriculum selections, goals, theme and accessibility preferences.
- Learning records: answers, marks, hints used, time on task, mastery estimates and rewards.
- Operational data: security logs, error reports and pseudonymous product analytics events.
We do not ask for a child's full legal name, school, address, photograph or voice recording, and there is no free-text field on a child profile that invites personal detail.
Why we hold it
To provide the service you asked for: placing a child on the right learning path, marking their work, showing progress to their parent and keeping the account secure. Analytics are pseudonymous and used to improve teaching quality, never to profile a child for advertising.
Children's data
Children do not hold their own accounts. A parent creates, edits and deletes each learner profile, and consent for optional features — such as AI help — sits with the parent and is off by default.
Keeping and deleting data
Learning records are kept while the account is active so progress remains meaningful. Deleting a child profile removes their learning records; deleting the family account removes everything except records we must retain for legal or accounting reasons, such as invoices.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your family's data from the privacy centre in your parent area, or by emailing support@nestingbee.example. You can also object to processing and complain to your local data protection authority.
